The ink community

I’m one of those people who is a bit of an elitist when it comes to the tattoo world. I hate to say it, but I really am. I’m covered head to toe in tattoos, I attend all the tattoo expos, and I know who is important in the tattoo world and who is the most talented. I attend multiple expos a year and have met many other tattoo aficionados. The tattoo world is made up of three different sectors I believe. The first are those who own a tattoo shop, Brisbane has many of these. Then there are those like me who have multiple tattoos, love getting tattooed, love watching people get tattooed, and love looking at tattoos. Within that demographic, I would say there is also a lot of crossover between tattoo artists, as many tattoo artists also have many tattoos. I definitely do not fall into the tattoo artist realm as I cannot draw to save my life. The final demographic is simply the tattoo art adorers. They don’t have tattoos and they’re usually not artists, they simply like tattoos or spend numerous years talking about their tattoo plans without committing.

At the latest expo I was at, there were a variety of artists who were experts in different styles, including the highest-rated realism tattoo artist in my area. Not only is this tattoo artist the best realism tattooist near me, she also is considered to be one of the best in the country. She even has people fly from overseas just to come to her studio and get tattooed by her. I have gotten a few tattoos done by her myself. My entire left leg is realism art. It took years to complete and get perfect, but that’s because I had a lot of separate pieces that I wanted. She absolutely nailed this artwork! Every day I look at my leg and I am still in awe.
