Things I need for the zine shop I’m opening.
If you have any of these and are not using it, pls get in contact & donate it to the shop! Do you have parents, friends, colleagues, etc who might be able to provide these things? Put them onto this link! The donations can be mailed or dropped off to an address in either Sydney or Newcastle.
- Rulers, staplers, long arm stapler, guillotine, coloured pencils, pens, markers & pencils
- Wall paint
- Cans of spray paint – any colour
- Rugs
- Tea/Coffee
- Cardstock & Reams of paper (upd: have received 1 ream, would love more)
- Computer (would prefer an old Mac), HQ of the project are also looking for a functioning computer if you have one for them too!
- Bar Fridge
- Typewriters (working or not)
- Printer (upd: have received 1, but would like 1 more if possible)
- Functioning photocopier
- Scissors, envelopes
- Brown paper lunch bags
- Functioning sewing machine
- Donated print services
- Donated zines, arts and crafts are also welcome

ABOUT THE PROJECT
I’m opening a zine shop in Newcastle as part of Renew Newcastle (google for their website). I would like to see Newcastle become a well known cultural hub at more times throughout the year than September’s This is Not Art festival. This shop is part of my vision.
I will have typewriters, cutting, drawing and printing stuff available for anyone to use in store and will be selling zines from as far afield as I can and building a zine and independent press library.

I have a printer you can have, I don’t have the starter disc for it though so you’d need to download a driver or something to get it to work on a computer. I don’t really know that sort of stuff, LOL.
I think I might have some spray cans you can have too.

I also have a desk I need to get rid of, lol, do you want that too? You’d have to pick up the desk though.
